Assistant High School Principal
Hello, my name is Jackie Russell, I am blessed to be starting my 33rd year of service in education and starting my 13th year at Rains ISD. This job is not a job, it is a calling. I love what I do and all of the possibilities that it offers for me to make a positive lifelong impact on both teachers and students. Our theme this year is “Leave A Legacy”. I want to add value to the lives of others by being focused on their needs. My goal is to exude servant leadership.
Freshman and Sophomores are my primary responsibility; however, I am available for all students. This year we are trying something new with the incoming 9th graders. We have organized a two-day Freshman Orientation focused on equipping them with all the tools needed to be successful.
It is my desire to facilitate a safe and inviting environment for everyone on this campus. It takes a village to get this accomplished. Our village not only consists of teachers and principals but our custodians and cafeteria staff are all a part of this RHS family.
As we begin this 2019-2020 year, we look forward to the leadership of the incoming Senior Class as they participate in a student mentorship program where they will be mentoring the freshman class. The Mentors will be known as Students REPS (Students Reaching Every Person). I am very excited about the active involvement of all of our students, and I am eager to see all the great things that will happen this year.
Please contact me if I can be of service to you or your child at 903-473-2222 ext 1410 or email@example.com .
This will be an AWESOME year; Leaving A Legacy!
