Colt has been a member of the Varsity Football Team and the Varsity Track Team for 2 years where he was a District and Area Champion. He also ran cross country for 2 years. Colt plans on joining the United states Navy after graduation.
Remi has been a Cat Pack leader at RHS for the last 2 years. He is also a Varsity Golfer for 2 years, Team Captain his Senior year and helped the golf team to a District Championship. Remi was voted Class Favorite and Homecoming King. After graduation he plans on joining the United states Navy.
Caliber was a member of the RHS Robotics Team his Senior year and enjoys graphic design and animation. He has been an A/B Honor Roll student his entire time at RHS and volunteers for Special Olympics. After graduation he plans on attending college to major in Animation and Game Design.
Garrett is new to Rains High School this year. Before moving to Emory he attended Wylie High School where he was a member of Fellowship of Christian Students, Football and Track & Field. Garrett made 3 mission trips to New Orleans and one to California. After graduation Garrett pland on attending Oklahoma Baptist University and majoring in Sports Management and Recreation. His plans are to get a job with a pro sports team in the front office.
Lauren has been involved in theater all 4 years of high school. She is also a member of Student Council and a 2 year member of NHS. Lauren is also a member of the High School Book Club and has been working at the Emory Vet Clinic throughout her senior year. After graduation Lauren plans to attend Baylor University and study Medicine to become a Plastic Surgeon.
Dexter has made the A honor roll every grading period all 4 years of High School. He is an Honor Graduate and in the top 10% of his graduating class. Dexter participated in UIL Filmmaking and Model UN for the Gifted and Talented class and, has volunteered with the Veterans Day program, and been a member of the Robotics Team. After graduation Dexter plans on attending Texas A&M Commerce to study astronomy and pursue a degree in Physics.
Makayla has been involved in UIL Journalism and placed in this year’s district meet. She is a 2 year member of NHS and Student Council and served as the StuCo Secretary this year. She has also been in Theater all 4 years of high school. After graduation, Makayla plans to attend Tyler Junior College for her basics and then transfer to Texas A&M.
Hailey loves music, photography and helping whenever she can. She is very determined to succeed, so much so, Hailey is graduating 1 year early. After high school, she plans on attending Tyler Junior College for her basics and will then transfer to a University to pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine.
David was a member of the RHS Cross Country team all 4 years at RHS as well as on the track team for 3 years. He was also a member of the Fishing Team his freshman year and FFA his junior and senior year. He recieved awards for showing goats and for Record Keeping, and his senior year he was awarded a Senior Shownamship buckle. David has always maintained a job while in high school and still found time to volunteer in the concession stand during football games, at Good Samaritans unloading food, and at the Farm and Ranch Days for students with special needs. David is a food enthusiast and loves cooking for others and especially trying new things, he has worked at El Manna during his senior year and has learned to cook many new dishes. David has enlisted in the United States Marine Corp and plans to better his future and experience the world. He is looking forward to traveling to different countries and experiencing a variety of cultures. After the military he hopes to earn his degree as a mechanic and maybe own his own shop.
Aryanne participated in Cross Country for 2 years, Theater for 3 years and performed in Fiddler on the Roof and Happen Stance. She was the Senior Class Secretary, an NHS member for 2 years, and an FFA member all 4 years of high school. Aryanne was also awarded the Texas Art Achievement award in VASE as well as an Academic Excellence award. She was an FFA officer her Senior year and placed 6th in the Creed Speaking contest at the District Competition. Aryanne is very active in her church youth group and enjoys volunteering. She has volunteered with Good Samaritans, Special Olympics and donates blood at the Carter Blood Drives. She has also worked at the Farm and Ranch Day for students with special needs and helped at the Veteran’s Days program all 4 years at RHS. Aryanne also served as a mentor to 2 freshman students this year. After high school, she plans to keep her job at City National Bank and then attend Tyler Junior College in the fall.
Katelynn Griffith Palin
Katelynn played Varsity Softball, and competed in Debate and Informative Speech her Freshman year. She has also been involved in HS theatre musicals and a member of the Art Club, and was President of the Art Club her Senior year. She has also been involved in Cosmetology all 4 years at RHS. Her goal is to have her Cosmetology license soon and after graduation she plans to attend college and pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education.
Robert Palin Jr.
Robert was involved in Ag and FFA througout his high school career, and he was also a member of the Art Club his Senior year. Robert has joined the United States Army and will leave for bootcamp in July. He also plans to get his certifications to become a mechanic.
Dustin has plans of going directly into the workforce after graduation to start making money!
Jaden has been a competitor and medal winner in the State Art Competition, VASE. Her plans after High School are to buy land and build a house where she can raise a family.
Matthew has been a member of the Sweepstakes winning Wildcat band for all 4 years of high school where he plays clarinet and piano. Matthew plans to attend Trinity Valley Community College in Athens where he has been awarded a music scholarship.
Vyctoria is new to RHS this year. She moved to Emory from Kentucky to finish out her high school career at RHS! She plans to attend Ashworth College to pursue a Vet Tech certification course and a career working with animals in a Veterinarian clinic.
Cooper is a 2 year member of National Honor Society. He received all 1’s in marching and concert band and is proud to be a part of the RHS first-time Sweepstakes-winning Wildcat band. He is also on the all A honor roll and helped his Robotics team build their competition robot. Next year, Cooper plans to attend Texas A&M Commerce to pursue a bachelors degree in Game Design.
Madisen has been member of the Wildcat Sweepstakes-winning Band all 4 years of high school where she plays the flute. She was also a member of FCCLA her senior year, volunteered weekly at the RISD Child Development Center and was a classroom helper at the Elementary campus. She helps with the Celebrate Recovery program at her church as well as volunteering at their Vacation Bible Schools for many years. After graduation Madisen will attend Oklahoma State University and pursue a double major in Early Childhood Education and Psychology with a minor in American Sign Language.
Collyn has been a member of the Sweeptakes winning Wildcat Band all 4 years of high school where they received all 1’s and advanced to the Area Competition. He also plays in the Concert Band which also scored all 1’s in their performance as well as in Sight-Reading, and along with the other percussion members, Collyn proudly qualified for the State Percussion Ensemble competition this year. Collyn has been a member of FFA for the past 4 years and has earned the Greenhand Degree. He also volunteers at Good Samaritans for the past 4 years, helps with Vacation Bible School and plays the drums at his church. Collyn is also an essential employee for Brookshire’s where he has been working many long hours during the COVID-19 situation. His future plans include gaining his certifications to become a diesel mechanic/technician.
Devin is a 3 year Letterman for the RHS Varsity Football Team. He was voted the district’s Offensive Newcomer of the Year his sophomore year and was awarded Offensive 2nd Team All-District his junior year and Defensive 2nd Team All-District his senior year. Devin was also on the Powerlifting Team for 2 years. After High School, Devin plans to complete his basics at Paris Junior College and then transfer to Parker University to become a Chiropractor.
While at RHS, Dalton has earned A Honor Roll and been an FFA member all 4 years. He has been a member of the Wildcat Sweepstakes Band all 4 years and Drum Captain for the past 3 years. He is the recipient of numerous music awards including qualifing for State Solo & Ensemble all 4 years, All-Area Band the past 2 years, and is the recipient of a Music Scholarship to Tyler Junior College. Next year Dalton will use that music scholarship to pursue a degree in Music and be a proud member of the Apache Band.
Erin has played softball and basketball all 4 years at RHS. She has been Academic All-District and Honorable Mention in softball for the last 3 years and received Honorable Mention status her senior year in basketball. Erin has also been a member of National Honor Society for 2 years and a 4-H member the past 5 years. She has volunteered with Special Olympics, the Intermediate School’s Field Day, the softball mini camp for the past 2 years, the Elementary School Book Fair, and the Rains County Fair for the past 5 years. Erin plans to attend Tyler Junior College and pursue a career in Sonography
Maria is a 4 year Student Council and Spanish Cllub member. This year she served as the President of the Spanish Club. Maria is also a 3 year FCCLA member and Treasurer, and has been a member of National Honor Society for the past 2 years. Maria also participates in Book Club, Art Club, and Spanish UIL competition. Her freshman year Maria ran Cross Country and for the last 2 years she has been volunteering at the RISD Child Development Center 5 hours per week and assisting in 2nd grade classrooms at the elementary campus. Maria is involved at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church as a Faith Formation teacher aid, she also participates in their choir and youth group. She has been a Special Olympics volunteer for the past 3 years and maintained all A’s her senior year and the A/B honor roll throughout high school. Maria’s futre plans are to attend Tyler Junior College Dental Assistant school while continuing to work at her current job to help her family. After TJC she plans to continue her training to become an orthodontist assistant.
Joselin is Vice President of the Rains High School FCCLA organization and has been a member for the past 3 years. She also volunteers at the RISD Child Development Center and is a student helper at the Intermediate School. She has earned all A’s her senior year and has been on the A/B honor roll throughout high school. Joselin has volunteered for Special Olympics for the past 3 years and has been in the Spanish Club all 4 years of high school. She plans to continue working her current job and save enough money to pay for college along with the help of scholarships and hard work!
Lorena is a 3 year Spanish Club member, she has been involved in the Book Club for 4 years and Student Council for 2. She also participated in Spanish UIL and has been a member of FCCLA where she volunteered 5 hours per week at the RISD Child Development Center for the past 2 years. This year she served as the FCCLA President. During her Senior year she also volunteered with the nursing staff at RISD since her future plans involve the medical field. This year Lorena has been able to maintain all A’s while maintaining a job at El Manna where she has worked the past 3 years. Her future plans include starting out at Tyler Junior College where she will complete her basics and then continuing her education and pursuing a career in Nursing. Lorena plans on continuing to work at her current job to help pay for school and to help her family.
Aubrey’s accomplishments while at RHS include being a member of the Powerlifting Team where she was awarded the Outstanding Female of the Year award as well as being a 3-time Regional Qualifier. Aubrey played JV/V Softball for 2 years where she received Academic All-District honors, and has been a cheerleader all 4 years. Her junior and senior years she was on the Varsity Cheer Squad where she was Captain, and won numerous awards including CheerHawaii Recipient 3 years in a row, Most Spirited and a State Cheerleader award. Aubrey has been an All-A Honor Roll student all 4 years, a Student Council member and officer for 2 years, an NHS member and Vice-President for 2 years, and Special Olympics volunteer al 4 years. Aubrey plans to attend Abilene Christian University where she has received an academic scholarship, and will prsue a career in Pediatric Nursing.
Hunter has been a member of the RHS Varsity Golf Team for the last 2 years and a member of the 2019-2020 District Championship Team. He is a 1 year Cross Country runner and an Area and Regional qualifier. He has volunteered for RISD Special Olympics all 4 years and has also helped with the Athletic Booster Club concession stand, Back-To-School Fair, worked as a Good Samaritan bell ringer during the holidays and Texas Best Choice Animal Shelter. He is a blood donor, a member of the Yearbook staff for 3 years, and a 2 year National Honor Society member, and he also serves on the High School Student Council his junior and senior year. Hunter played basketball for 3 years, football for 1 year, was on the fishing team for 1 year, and also on the track team. Hunter’s plans are to attend Tyler Junior College to obtain his basic courses and then continue his education at a University.
Cameron has been on the RHS Fishing Team all 4 years and is a 2-time qualifier for Regionals. He maintains good grades while holding down a job. Cameron has been on the work program for 2 years and works 25-30 hours per week and handles his own finances and bank account. He loves to hunt and fish. His future plans include attending a junior college to complete basics and then pursuing a career as a game warden.
Makayla’s accomplishments while at RHS include A Honor Roll all 4 years, NHS member for 3 years and Secretary her Senior Year. She has been a member of the Varsity Sweepstakes-Winning RHS band all 4 years as well as a State Qualifier for Solo & Ensemble her Junior year and Color Guard Captain her junior and senior years. Makayla was also on the Varsity Track team her sophomore, junior, and senior year where she was a 3-time Area Qualifier and a Regional Qualifier. She has been a blood/plasma donor ten times and a volunteer with Special Olympics for 3 years. Makayla was on the RHS fishing team her freshman year and a member of the choir her junior year. Her future plans are to attend the University of Texas at Tyler and graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
Jason has played football all 4 years at Rains High School, 2 of those on Varsity. He was also on the track team, has been a blood donor, volunteered at Good Samaritans and helped with Special Olympics. Jason is a leader with his church youth group and sang with them at Emory Senior Suites and Rehab. He has also volunteered his time handing out gift bags at Christmas and Grandparents Day! Jason plans on attending college and continuing his education.

Ashley has been very busy during her time at RHS! Some of her accomplishments include FFA Vice-President, Yearbook Co-Editor and National Honor Society’s Parliamentarian. She has also maintained a position on the A Honor-Roll all 4 years and went to STATE for FFA Dairy-Judging 2 years. Some of her community involvement includes helping with Vacation Bible School at Emory Baptist Church every summer, helping with numerous events at the Rains County Fair, and receiving her FFA Lone Star Degree. Ashley has been a member of FFA all 4 years of high school, played golf for 3 years, been a member of NHS for 2 years, and helped design and edit the RHS yearbook for 2 years. She has also been a 4-H member for the past 10 years. Her biggest love is dance! Ashley has been a dancer at Sulphur Springs Centre for Dance for the last 15 years and as been on the competition dance team for 8 years. Ashley will attend Texas A&M University in College Station in the fall and plans to pursue a degree in psychology. Once she completes her degree she plans to become a Psychologist and own her own practice.

Jonny has played football all 4 years at RHS with 2 years on the Varsity. He earned 2nd Team All-District in football his Senior year. He participated in powerlifting for 2 years and qualified for Regionals his senior year. Jonny has also competed on the tennis and track teams for 2 years. He is an A Honor Roll student and has donated blood all 4 years. He has worked at Good Samaritan and is a leader in his youth group at Point Church of Christ. Jonny also sang with the church youth group at Senior Suites & Rehab, helped serve communion to shut-ins and helped with Vacation Bible School. Jonny plans on joining the Navy, he also wants to attend college and become a teacher and coach.

Chevy has been active in Special Olympics and a member of the RHS Varsity tennis team for 3 years. He’s also been a member of our Sweepstakes winning band for 5 years. Chevy plans to join the Army and become a awionics mechanic and make a career in military.
